2. Quotations & Estimates

• All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Quotations are based on the information provided and a visual inspection. Additional work discovered during the project may incur extra charges, which will be agreed upon before proceeding.
• Prices include VAT at the current rate unless stated otherwise.
• A written acceptance or signed contract is required before work commences.

3. Payment Terms

• For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins (typically 10-25% of the total cost).
• The balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the work.
• Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
• We accept bank transfer, cheque, and cash payments.
• Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

4. Work Schedule

• We will provide an estimated start date and project duration.
• Roofing work is weather-dependent. Delays due to adverse weather conditions are beyond our control and will not constitute a breach of contract.
• We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

5. Workmanship Guarantee

• All our work is covered by a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
• This guarantee covers defects in workmanship but does not cover damage caused by third parties, extreme weather events, or lack of maintenance.
• Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 10-30 years depending on the product).
• The guarantee is transferable to new property owners.

6. Access & Site Conditions

• You must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
• Please ensure vehicles are moved from the work area where necessary.
• We will take reasonable precautions to protect your property but cannot be held responsible for minor disturbance (dust, noise) inherent to construction work.
• We will clear all debris and leave the site clean upon completion.

7. Insurance

Guest Brothers Ltd holds comprehensive public liability insurance and employers' liability insurance. Copies of certificates are available upon request.

8. Cancellation

• You may cancel a contract within 14 days of acceptance for domestic contracts (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
• If work has already commenced, you will be liable for the cost of work completed and materials ordered.
• For cancellations after the 14-day period, reasonable costs may apply.

9. Complaints

We strive to deliver excellent service. If you have any concerns:

1. Contact us immediately so we can address the issue.
2. We will investigate and respond within 7 working days.
3. If you remain dissatisfied, we will work with you to reach a fair resolution.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Our liability is limited to the value of the contract for the work performed.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded.

11. Website Use

• We make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and up to date.
• We are not responsible for the content of external websites linked from our site.
